Do invest in an LBD, as long as it has a nipped in waist and/or some gorgeous pleats you're good to go, just get those locks up in rollers before the party starts. The catwalks this year were laden with forties fabulous shapes, just like Donna Karan's wonderful creation above, which means the high street will be following pretty quickly, so sharpen your elbows for a forties bargain.
